get a pot of heavily salted water boiling. throw in your pasta, turn down to a simmer, and cook to al dente. make sure to stir your pasta every once in a while, so it doesn't stick together. if not using immediately, shock right afterwards. and make sure your water is salty as the sea.

boil some water that is heavily salted (salty as the sea). When water is boiling add the pasta and stir immediately so the pasta doesn't stick together. When pasta is done to your likeing drain and place in a large stainless bowl with some olive oil and toss to cool the pasta. Don't rinse your pasta in cold water you wash away alot of tastey starch. And never put oil in the water it doesn't do any good. The oil stays on top and the pasta is below the surface of the water. It is just a waste of oil.

The cooking time depends on the type of pasta, but the basics are the same.
Take a LARGE pot and fill it 2/3 full. This gives the pot plenty of room to boil. Add salt, if desired. Bring to a full, rolling boil and add your pasta. Make sure to have enough water for the pasta to move around while boiling. This is the secret to keeping your pasta from sticking, having plenty of room in the boiling water. If the water stops boiling, keep stirring until it returns to a boil. If it didn't stop boiling, just give the pasta a good stir and let it cook. If the pot threatens to boil over, stir like mad and reduce heat slightly, but keep at a boil. (The rapid stirring will cool the water just enough to keep it from boiling over until the temp on your cook top reduces.)Check the package directions for the amount of time to cook your pasta and check it a minute or two before that time. It's easy to boil longer if it is underdone; it's impossible to un-cook the pasta if it's overdone. When your pasta is to the desired softness, drain. If you are using it right away, just add whatever topping/sauce you're using and serve. If you want to keep it for a few minutes, say a half-hour or less, then toss pasta with some olive oil to keep it from sticking together. You can re-heat it in hot/boiling water for about 20-30 seconds right before serving if it gets colder than you like.

first you should boil the water then add in the pasta. wait ten minutes. if it is soft then scoop one up and eat it. wait five minutes and if it is not soft enough cook for another five minutes. then when they are soft enough dump them in a strainer and let all the water drip out. the time to cook the pasta depends on the type of pasta so it may vary

Put on a large pot of water and bring to a rapid boil.
Add pasta once it's fully boiling
Stir constantly to prevent sticking
Boil for approximately 7 minuets for El Dente, or cook a few minuets longer if you prefer a softer pasta
Drain it and add the sauce or butter, or whatever.
ENJOY!!

put water in a pan, when it starts to boil put in noodles in. let them boil for a little while, if you think they are done take a noodle out of the pan and throw it at the wall, not really hard, just kind of toss it, if it sticks to the wall they are done. or you can just eat one.
