The past few weeks I've been stressed and crying about it. But lately, I find myself crying about any and everything. Little things, like watching television. I was watching The Parent Trap this weeend and I started crying. My little cousin started crying the other day, so I cried. Thinking about things that I havent cried about in years makes me cry. I'm always happy and peppy, so this is a DRAMATIC change. All of my peers noticed that I haven't been myself lately. Could it just be the stress, or is it something more serious?

This being a "dramatic change" can mean you need to talk to a professional, first your MD to see if it is hormones. Then it might be good to go on some kind of medication. There are herbal remedies that help too. The best treatment is cognitive therapy and medication combination. There are good meds out there now that keep more serotonin in your system, and that balances your moods. I wish I had started these treatments earlier. I'm glad I did. I finally did this when, like you, I started crying all the time. Don't feel ashamed of it, lots & lots of people are on anti-depressants and see therapists. Be sure the therapist is a good fit. If you ever feel like hurting yourself, call a crisis line right away. You can be happier.

I used to have a problem like yours. I was a happy person, then BAM, I was crying constantly. I felt so depressed. The thing is, I didn't take meds. What I did was so much more easier.

Want to know what it was? I got a guinea pig. Yeah, yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but I found that the little guys really had unique and beautiful personalities that really calm the inner soul. Never again have I cried as much.

If you want to get a guinea pig, get it while it is 3-4 weeks old and is so small, it could be mistaken with an adult hamster. At this age, they don't have a personality yet, so with nurturing & love (which you'll find will be easy to give because they will love you so much-you'll be able to cry to them, and they will give you a look of understanding) they will have a trusting personality and will love you forever. That will make you feel great.

I hope that helps

It might just be stress. Wait about a month and see if you still feel this way almost everyday. If you do, tell a medical doctor.

I work in mental health, and I know that doctors look at how long you have been having the symptoms before diagnosing or treating someone. Or at least, that's what the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental DIsorders recommends (it's the main book used by psychiatrists and other mental health professionals).

Cohabitation;
It turns out getting married may seem old-fashioned to a lot of Americans. Couples who live together now outnumber those who've tied the knot, Census figures show.2007... The human mind is all powerful but doesn't like to relearn anything especially about love and life. Have a good cry and let the spinal fluid clear itself . You will be okay .Why get into the chemicals that doctors are supposed to prescribe for cry babies.

This sounds like a case of depression. Has there been a major change in your life lately? A death in the family, loss of income, etc? You may need to see a therapist to help you get out your feelings. Sometimes journaling, drawing pictures, and excercise can alleviate some forms of stress.

If your female, it could be hormonal. Stress definitely plays a part.

Do something to de-stress yourself. Avoid sugar. Get plenty of sleep.

It will probably pass.

If you are not having thoughts about hurting yourself it is probably OK unless it is hurting you. If it is causing you harm you should get help. The place to start is always your medical doctor who can rule out medical issues and they are also trained to give counseling and referrals.

Talk to your doctor and first rule out physical causes.
