They are impatient. You answered your own question.
Drivers today have a "Me First" attitude, and no courtesy. Makes me crazy.

Those people who are so impatient because they are basically only thinking about themselves. They may have left late, the traffic is "too much" for them, and they want everyone to move out of their way-right now! They may (at least some of them), have anger issues, therefore road rage then becomes a factor. Or, they think that their car is fancy enough, that they want to "show off". These drivers may know how to drive defensively, for themselves, but they also drive offensively. I sometimes think if the roads could be cleared "just for them", and have everyone else "already out of the way" they would want it that way for themselves-all the time. They are rude and crude, and not properly driving to be safe. We are taught to drive defensively. I know a guy who told me he learned "TNO-Trust No One" when driving. Safe Driving!

I used to be impatient too, before I grew up.
Actually, for a few years I lived 60 miles from work, which forced me to learn how to better manage my time so I wouldn't be late very often, and it became a habit.
Now, I live close to work, but still arrive 20 to 30 minutes early every day. I HATE being late.

They're trying to get somewhere and you're in their way, driving like a granny. That pedal under your right foot is the gas. Move already. Beep Beep.

they are either going for some nookie, or a meeting at some bar room, or in such a fowel mood over some thing, that every thing you are doing while driving, is pissing them off. there fore, what in their minds is correct for them to do at that moment, in their mind, is way correct, and the heck with others.

They're impatient. I think you answered your own question. j/k
Well it really depends, some people really have a place to be, others get irritated further by people who intentionally block traffic.
