My sister has two kids. A 2 year old boy and an 8 month old boy. She also has 2 cats. One of them is a diabetic and she has been giving him injections for a couple of years now. In the past few months he has been irritable and very agressive. He is a big cat, not fat, just big. Probably 16-18#. He has been biting the kids, and constantly terrorizing the other cat, who is old and cannot defend herself. She is barely 6 pounds soaking wet! She has been back to the vet several times to see what else can be done. The last thing she wants to do is to put him down. She is becoming desperate though and does not want to isolate him either. She does loves this cat. He is part of the family. He is a great cat when he doesn't feel bad. He needs someone with no kids or other pets, and can give him the attention he needs. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Does she have no friends or family to take it in? Cause a rescue will have a hard time adopting a cat like that out

I don't know where you live, but if it is a large enough city or close to a large city, you might try calling a no-kill shelter and see they foster special needs cats. If they don't, they might know who does. You might also contact the ASPCA.

you need to find out why he is being so aggressive, if he needs to be fixed ,do it and see if he calms down
if that doesnt help then you can leave him with any adoption center, they have to take him, but be warned they might put him down so try to find one that doesnt kill the animals
