Lent includes Ash Wednesday but not the next six Sundays.
There are 40 days in Lent.
However if you count the number of days from Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday (the day before Easter) you find there are 46 days.
The extra days are 6 Sundays. These Sundays are not really part of Lent. So if you give up MySpace for Lent you can visit it on Sundays.
If you give up something more important like sarcasm or endeavor to do some good work then I suggest you keep up the effort on Lenten Sundays.
With love in Christ.

Sweetie, you need to live your life. These people are trying to make you friendless. Lent means making an effort to give up something. Jesus does not say to give up friends because of the old laws. Just be happy and God will bless you.
It is not for me to say the Catholic Church is tainted and immoral. However, it is time the world knows the real truths. Some of the answerers will shove material down your throat; however, if you click on this web site, the truth will set you free.

When you do your penance is up to you. In general one doesn't fast on Sunday or Solemnity, however, you may chose to continue your penance as you desire.
Ash Wednesday is a fast day and is of a penitential character so if you are giving up something for lent, do today is a good day to start.

This is breaking your promise. I'm Catholic too. It's hard, but keep trying and you'll make it! If you give up, don't feel bad. You tried and you gave it all you had!

I'm sorry, I haven't been a catholic since I was a girl. I can't remember much of those rules. Perhaps you should ask your mom?
