that's part of the reason why Christians deserve their bad rep.

Of course they do and so do Christians. Just because you are or are not a Christian does not automatically entitle you to enter Heaven. It does significantly help though. By being a Christian you have access to innumerable graces, prayerful intercessions, blessing and such, that, when following the Christian faith sincerely, tremendously empower you to live a saintly life pleasing to God that would otherwise be much more difficult to attain.
Although those people that have not had the change to hear the message of the Gospel, accept the faith and believe in Jesus as their God will not necessarily go to hell. Leading wholesome, decent lives by caring for those around you, and trying to make the world a more loving, prosperous, and safe place, can get you to Heaven. God is not cruel, He will judge you based on how much love you have had. People who lived selfish lives, intent on having thing their own way, will be the likely candidates for Hell. Christians profess God is Love, God does not play favoritism in matters concerning the final destination of the soul.
Pax Vobiscum.

Only the Fundies will say yes and not question further. To ponder further makes their brains hurt. To ponder further makes them afraid that they're sinning by merely pondering. Ptui. I work with someone like that, who's so dang afraid to THINK. She's afraid to think outside of the Fundie Christian box, lest she sin by actually learning something new. Oooooo!!!!!!! She's very open-hearted, but EXTREMELY closed-minded. Man, I can't stand people like that! DARLENE, THIS IS YOU!!!

Ahem, now where was I? Ah yes, Hell. Fundies will automatically say yes, they're on auto-pilot. However, the rest of the population with at least half a brain cell will recognize that they cannot give a yes or no answer to this question.

Anyone can be in Hell, and most have had a taste from time to time.

There is no Hell like the one most people imagine. Heaven and Hell are states of being. Heaven is closeness to God, and there are infinite degrees of Heaven. Hell is remoteness from God, and there are infinite degrees of Hell. Heaven and Hell can be experienced in all planes of existence, whether that's here in the physical world or in the spiritual realm beyond. If one is in Hell, it's not an eternal damnation. The soul always progresses, no matter what plane of existence it's in. Therefore, Hell is not eternal damnation.

I am Christan and do not believe that. I believe that we will be judged according to our hearts, our intentions, and our deeds, whether they be good or evil. I think many Christians will be confined to hell if they do not live ther religion well.

I also believe that all those who did not get a chance to learn about Christ while here on this earth will get a chance to hear of Christ in the next life, and will be given a chance to receive or accept it there. God is a just God and will not send someone to Hell unjustly. That is also why I believe that little babies will not be sent to hell just because they were not "sprinkled."

The bible says they go to hell. I'm amazed at the wishy washy Christian answers to this ... here is biblical back-up.

John 3:3: "...no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
John 3:15: "...everyone who believes in him [Jesus] may have eternal life."
John 3:18: "...whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."
John 14:6: "Jesus answered: 'No one comes to the Father except through me'"
Acts 3:23: "And it shall be, that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people." (ASV)
Acts 4:12: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved"
Romans 10:9: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved"
Hebrews 9:28: "...he [Christ] will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him"
1 John 5:12: "...he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."

Our teachings as Christians are that all men shall be judged by GOD on his judgement day. As mere men, we have no right or call to judge anyone, period, as to what God will do with them. No where in my teachings were we taught that we were any better than anybody else, or visa-versa. These same teachings are that God loves each one of us the same, but he has the same love for the lowliest of creatures like the sand flea or the mosquito.

Yes, Christians believe that all non Christians will go to hell sadly because they do not believe that Jesus is God and was sent by God to save the world. It says in the Bible that God has revealed himself to all man, and so all that do not believe in Him, the way, the truth and the life, will go to hell.

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man (John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die. Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ! “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

No. I truly believe that, if there is an afterlife, everyone goes there, from Ghandi to Hitler, Saddam and the Clintons. I don't believe in hell.

I'm a Christian and I don't think anyone will go to hell. Well except Hitler and Stalin are already there.

Yes. Not to believe that all others go to Hell would be an anti-christ belief and I don't want anything to do with an anti-christ belief.
