your average American is too busy to take time away from American Idol and Starbucks to be bothered with it.

But it sure as hell doesn't stop them from having an opinion on something they know nothing about.

There are people who claim that the War in Iraq isn't happening? Anybody who doesn't believe it is happening must have there head firmly up their ***.

If you are talking about the war on terror (afgahnistan), then that is not the same as the war on terror. The war on terror is an abstract idea, like the war on drugs. You aren't fighting a particular person or country. It is different from the War in Iraq because the threat wasn't in Iraq. Saddam was a bad guy, but he was not harboring terrorists, that has been established.

So there are two wars happening and people do need to acknowledge both, but also remember that they are not really connected, or at least not until we messed up Iraq and sparked a civil war there.

No, Americans have the attention span of an eggplant and are more concerned with Britney Spears cutting her hair. It's shameful to say but very true.

No. Most Americans realize that a war is occurring - but thanks to the efforts of the US military they have no reason to be afraid.

yes no one like to show weakness but it goes on in our mind. There is not a day I don't think about all thoses Iraq citizen and soilders
