You can't delete questions which have been resolved. The three sections of Yahoo! Answers are "ask" (you ask a question if for members of the Yahoo! Answers community to answer), "answer" (you answer other people's questions if you know the answer) and "discover" (you look through the resolved questions to see if the answer is there before asking).

It is left there in case anyone else comes along and wants to know the answer, they can search for what they want to know in the "search for questions" box or it may come up in a Yahoo! search engine search.

If Yahoo! let people delete their resolved questions, then they wouldn't be able to do the "discover" part, which they feel plays a part in attracting people to the site as they may not necessarily have to wait for answers. This is why they don't let you.
