some people would say that the routes that the US is taking to prevent terrorism aren't the correct routes to take.

The "war on terror/terrorism" has acted as a blanket title for many actions that are questionable as to their relation to actually alleviating terrorism.

The biggest/most obvious example would be Iraq. While many people would say that Saddam was "bad" and liberating the people of iraq was "good," it's overall relation to alleviating terrorism is pretty questionable considering the original intent of going in there was supposedly WMD's.

bascially while there are a number of things that have been implemented to avert terrorist acts, i think a number of people would argue that there are bunch of other very questionable/ineffective/BIG things that really have very little to do with terrorsim. Thus, the idea of a "war on terror" as a whole loses a lot of credibility.

Well it's not "A war on Terror" cause Terror is a a feeling and you can not have a War on a Feeling - Unless you GW - who is to stupid to realize that.
