Genesis 3:4 -5
Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened
Confirmed as true in Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened
NOTE: GOD SAID Genesis 2:17 for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
NOTE 2 Both God and Satan said IN THE DAY not after you do this one day this will happen!
Statement 2 by Satan Genesis 3:5 and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
This TOO was confirmed true in
Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
NOTE God was afraid they would eat of the tree of Life and live forever. Proving they had not been immortal!
Further proof that this was true.
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
QUOTED FROM
Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods

Satan didn't lie at all, as evidenced thru the bible verses you quote here. There is nothing in genesis to support that the death Yahweh was talking about was:
a)spiritual (a common claim)
b)symbolic (destroying the link between god and man thru sin.
A side note...Genesis 3:22 illustrates that the only difference between god(s) and men is immortality, as well as invalidates the need for gods, since we are as gods...

Genesis 3:1
[ The Fall of Man ] Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
Genesis 3:2-3
The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
Genesis 3:4
"You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman.
Genesis 3:13
Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
Genesis 3:14
So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.

you need to examine the Holy Bible so a lot extra, so which you will no longer make this manner of mistake lower back. Gen 5:4 After the beginning of Seth, Adam lived yet another 800 years, and he had different little youngsters. Gen 5:5 He died on the age of 930. devil is the king of liars. Jhn 8:40 4 For you are the youngsters of your father the devil, and additionally you desire to do the evil issues he does. He replaced right into a assassin from the initiating and has consistently hated the reality. there is not any fact in him. whilst he lies, this is consistent along with his character; for he's a liar and the father of lies.

well that was way to long for me to read but i hope i answered this correctly...
The biggest human misconception is that Satan always lies. He doesn't, he gives you most of the truth but just enough of a lie that it makes you sin. That's why most people don't realize what they did until they did it. It sounded good at the time didn't it? Well that's because Satan told you enough of the truth that it made you think it was okay, but then you realize the false hood in it. Like when you only tell half of the truth, would you still consider that a lie?

This question is proof positive that a lost soul can wrestle with a simple scripture to their damnation. God created Adam and Eve to have eternal life. When they disobeyed God, and ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they brought about their deaths, JUST AS GOD SAID. They didn't die that day, but they brought death upon them THAT DAY.

Ephesians 4:18-"While they are IN DARKNESS MENTALLY,and
alienated from the life that belongs to God,because of the
IGNORANCE that is in them, because of the insensibility of their
hearts(19)Having come to be past all moral sense, they gave
themselves over to loose conduct to work uncleanness of every
sort with greediness.

God said that in the day that you eat of the fruit, you will surely die.
Satan said, "You will not surely die."
A day to God is 1,000 years. The oldest man in the Bible died before 1,000 years. Adam and Eve died within God's day.
As for your Psalms 82:6 citing, you are taking it out of context. God gave man the ability to be as gods in the form of being judges and to sentence with capitol punishment. Make sure you get your context right.

They had access to the tree of life.
Tell them they wouldn't die is a lie(they would still be with us if they never rebelled and ate the fruit of the tree of good and evil).
Adam and Eve aren't with us (they died).

I think that you have it pretty much right, except:
The angels didn't want them to eat of the tree of Life AFTER they ate of the tree of Knowledge. It did not disprove their immortality before taking of the tree. It seems that you also presumed that God didn't already think of the issue that the angels brought up. He merely agreed with them, and yes, people have been dying ever since.

Oh, look somewhere else in the Bible. It is chalk full of contradictions, search harder and you'll find some random clause having nothing to do w/this that Christians will use to justify themselves.
