It is an oxymoron. Aetheists should have their own category and have nothing to do with Religion and Spirituality. If they don't believe in God and things they can't see, why do they frequent in a place with people who do and are seeking answers according to their beliefs? Shouldn't they be talking amongst themselves in a separate place with people who agree with them? Like how their toaster evolved into a hair dryer?

Jessica, stop yelling! I'm sorry if I seemed puffed up and full of myself, maybe you are right. But what is a Pastor? Is he a kind of priest? Oh, and no abortions, stealing or killing little puppies (although I did kill a cochroach today). By the way, the Lord does not hate people, he disapproves of their actions, but you are right, this question does seem overly righteous. I just wanted to see how many aetheists would jump on it and study reactions.

As a Christian this question is embarrassing to me. Your attitude goes against everything we believe in. The mission that we have in this world is to spread the word of God and this is an excellent chance to do so. I had a Pastor tell me one time that if Jesus were here today he would not hang out in churches with Christians. He would be in the bars and Whorehouses where the sinners would be. That's a concept that a lot of Christians don't seem to understand. We should be spending more of our time with sinners talking to them instead of with each other talking about the sinners. We were not saved so that we could hang out with each other.

So all those years of studying religions in great depth and answering questions for people who ask them is somehow less than valid because I'm atheist? I answer questions within the realms of the asker's religion if it's a valid question (like one asked for prayers for vocations, I'd answered the other day) even though I don't believe in that faith. Somehow I get the feeling you're making blanket judgements based on lack of knowledge about what you're talking about.

regrettably you amply show the lack of expertise that is going with a christians closed techniques!! ATHEIST - somebody who does no longer have faith in a God – any God – no longer in simple terms the Christian one. yet that does no longer recommend they do no longer carry reliable ethical or religious ideals! they might follow any faith that does no longer have a god and there are multiple those!! great religions like BUDDHISM – religious coaching from Buddha and his followers that by potential of destroying greed, hatred and fantasy (the reason of all suffering) guy can attain appropriate enlightenment!! So why do you no longer open your techniques and improve your understanding and mind so as which you will "provide us a good question or answer with out upsetting or mocking different "religions/spiritualities!!!!"

You make a very valid point. You could ask Yahoo on y_answrs_jane_f@yahoo.com. (as at August 2006 this email address was operational.)
Although I suspect some Atheists know all the answers but post the same old tired questions out of sheer boredom. After all it is no fun if everyone agrees with you as Atheists agree among themselves.

You, my friend, have a lot to learn before you graduate.. middle school.
I am of course referencing your comment on evolution. Please, understand science before making yourself sound like a complete moron.
To actually answer your question, I believe that anyone should be allowed to answer in any section in which they would like, as long as they have actual input. Atheists spamming the Christian board with "OMGZ U GUYRS R SOOOO STOOPID" is incredibly annoying, I agree, but they should be allowed to post answers and questions alike that are appropriate.

Wow. You actually succeeded in sounding even more lame brained than the last few people who have posted this same question. Congrats on that one...

They are entitled. They have a belief, it just can't be proven with science, or archeology, or mathematics, or physics. And if they would just open up a Bible and try to prove it wrong, they would find out for themselves that evolution doesn't have a leg to stand on. They won't take the challenge because it is so much easier believing what they were told!!!

I think they have a right to answer what they want.
Just because they possess a certain faith (or lack thereof) doesn't condemn them to silence. Atheism is still a '-THEISM'. It just means that belief in a single God or multiple gods isn't their particular brand of Vodka...
And it's religion AND spirituality. Just because they don't possess religion doesn't mean they don't possess spirituality.

I'm sorry i guess you didnt know that athieism is a religion too. They have as much rights to look at this section as much as whites and other races have the right to celebrate black history month.

The atheists and other non-believers I have met are far more spiritual than a great many theists (especially Christians) that I have met!
