hey you guys,
I'm just kind of sad so I was wondering if you guys could cheer me up? Please ?
I chose this title because right now my mom is battling alcoholism and losing, and I miss my dad. He died last Jan (06) and I really miss him. He died because of alcoholism... he bled to death because something in his throat burst. Yea so things aren't going to great... I wish these things never happened

google al-anon, read up on it and find a meeting near you. Please do it for your sake. You're not alone. many, many people are going through the same thing as you.

You can't change others behavior, only your reaction to it.

You're right to hate alcohol.

a few things to remember. i bet you've seen this in a chain letter or email before, but it is worth repeating.

1. There are at least two people in this world
that you would die for.

2. At least 15 people in this world
love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you
is because they want to
be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't
like you.

5. Every night,
SOMEONE thinks about you
before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. You are special and unique.

8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.

10. When you think the world
has turned its back on you
take another look.

11. Always remember the compliments you received.
Forget about the rude remarks.

Keep pressing on! You have so much to look forward too! I know some people don't believe in religious things but prayer is a strenghtener. Pray for your mother and yourself as well. Look into maybe joining a local youth group where you feel welcome. Believe me, people are there with open arms ready to listen and help you. Talk with them, share what has happened so they can be praying for you and your mother too. There you will find a support system that will always lift you up!

im soo sorry to hear of your struggles hun ..i was slightly in the similar boat last year as my gran just died and my dad got rushed into hospital the day of her funeral as he was suffering from alcoholism ...he has liver cancer now.........you should have a long hard talk with your mom ..it is not an easy thing given up alcohol but tell her to go see a counciler about it.....try to remind her of how much you love her and that u always will ....do not pressure her if she is failing to quit alcohol but be there for her.......tell her that life is worth it and not to waste it away . things will soon get better hunny!
