big earrings right after i get my ears pierced? Because when i get them pierced i had to get some small cubic zirconia earrings and i was going to have them on for 6 weeks but i was stupid and forgot that i had football and everything and you can't wear earrings in football so then now i want to get them re-pierced because i quit football for a very good reason. Can i wear big earrings right after i get them pierced or do i have to wear small earrings at first?

You have to wear small earrings unless you go to a good jewelry store to have them pierced and buy some expensive big earrings. When you have newly pierced ears you need to wear a good quality earring for the six weeks till it heals.

Are we talking about the size of the gauge here? how big around the actual post or hoop is?? If that is the case go to a piercing studio and they can peirce whatever size you want up to a certain point.
If you mean big as in size of the stone....then I would definetly wait until healing is done before putting in heavy earrings, this will only add to irritation and can cause infection.

If you want to reduce the chances of them having problems (infections, longer healing time, etc.), I'd wait 6 weeks before changing the earrings to other ones.

try the small ones first so you wont hurt your ears much. Then a couple of weeks then you could try the big ones.

dont wear big earings after just getting pierced!!!!!
keep the wound clean....boiled and cooled to warm water with salt as clean wash.
keep sanitary and original piercing in for a couple of months to be safe,,,,,, use a non corrosive material too...stainless steel, titanium whateva best suits budget..... try non hypo allergenic......dont fiddle with it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
