Death penalty: Abolish it. Nobody should have to explain to his adoring child, "Daddy is an executioner. His job is to kill people."
Embryonic stem cell research: Go ahead. I'd never stand in the way of any search for knowledge.
Abortion: The only thing worse than legal abortions is illegal abortions.

I am pro-death penalty and in some cases am for abortion. I don't know enough about stem-cell research to have an opinion
Here's why
Death Penalty: There are people who deserve to die. I mean, can anyone imagine what a victim of a killer's last moments feel like or the suffering that it causes to the family? I can't. Though, if the family doesn't want the criminal to die, that's their choice.
Abortion: I think that in cases where women are raped, they should be able to have an abortion and in cases in which the mother's life is endangered. I, however, do not condone having an abortion when it is just the result of the woman's choices, or when either parent is willing to raise the child.

Death Penalty. Yes, but the criteria for applying it needs to be changed. Too many serial killers have the death penalty waved as a plea bargain and too many people face the death penalty because of outrage over the crime, not certainty that the right persons have been charged.
Embryonic stem cell research. Unnecessary, and dangerous on a level that only George Orwell could describe.
Abortion. There really is no alternative when considering a person's right to medical treatment and privacy. To outlaw it would mean every woman who has a miscarriage could be subjected to the sociopathic interrogations of the religious community. Best to leave it to the individual and keep the church and government at bay.

I'm atheist, I'm Buddhist, I'm totally against the death penalty and huge chunks of the American penal system as it is, I'm against embryonic stem cell research and abortion... however I do not foist my views of morality on others, since not everybody can nor does believe exactly as I do. Everybody is different and while I might try to sway someone away from such things by giving out advice if it was sought from me, I wouldn't force anyone.

Death Penalty- If it is a malicious crime or if the person will be a menace to society, yes
Stem Cells- Yes, so far it is only saving lives not taking them because the cells have not been taking from living creatures. Why not save lives if you aren't taking anything away as well?
Abortion- I value a good, healthy and safe life over a miserable existence.

---Death penlty is a total waste of money!
They sit on death row forever and it cost us a lot of money, because they appeal all the time.
---Cord blood, has stem cells, and it doesn't harm anyone.
Also their are adult stem cells.
So in those cases, yes.
In the case embryonic stem cells, can't they just use the aborted fetuses?
---I think abortion is a terrible thing, but it's better than millions of unwanted kids, 44 million abortions (in America) since 1975?
Do you know what things would be like if they all were alive right now ???
It's a last resort, I think careless women, who do it all the time (because they don't use birth control or condoms), should be ashamed of themselves
(once, maybe even twice, but don't treat it like a form of birth control)

I believe they all exist, but I suppose your question is do I agree with them or not?
Death penalty - no way. Not in favour under any circumstances. I don't agree with taking someone else's life.
Embryonic stem cell research - yes. I have no problem with this.
Abortion - I am pro choice.

God - I do not believe in God. I do think there are souls, past lives, universal energy, more. But one guy? No.
Death Penalty - No. The crappy state of psychiatric and prison facilities does not justify taking another life.
Research - Yes. There is no formed human soul in a stem cell, only potential.
Abortion - I am against doing it myself. I would try to talk somebody else out of it. I do NOt think it is the government's busines however and if a woman in the first trimester wants to have an abortion it should not be illegal.
