am i weird?

Question

ok i am 13 years old (middle school guy) and i, for some reason, started this thingy sorta like a journal and writing really personal stuff in it, like about my gf, my relationship with God, and other personal stuff. i only did it for like a week, but don't girls normally do that kinda stuff. i am confused. is this ok and normal. please answer seriously. ty

now, i'm a girl about your age so i don't know if my opinion really counts, but it is totally normal. a lot of my friends have myspaces that they use for exactly the same thing. your version is only slightly different in the fact that it is a journal that is not advertised to the whole world. so GO YOU!!!

journals are a really healthy thing to keep. i'm sure you've realized this, but they help you sort out all your emotions when your body is raging with hormones. it probably makes you a lot more calm and collected at school than the other boys at school. which, believe me, is a goooood thing! most of the boys at my school are horny perverts who can't think anything without saying it. i bet you are a good guy. your girlfriend is lucky to have you.

now if only i could find a guy like you... :)

Not as weird as you think.
The only real difference between females doing this sort of thing vs. males is that when females do it, it is called a diary. Males call it a journal.
Keeping such a record is sometimes a very good way to get your thoughts and ideas out of your head so you can take a good look at them from another point of view. It lets you examine your feelings and, best of all, you don't have to embarrass yourself in the process.
So, actually, you are perfectly normal. But I wouldn't let anyone, ever, read it.

Journaling is NOT just for girls/women...I know plenty of males that journal. Its perfectly normal to do so....dont worry. Whats wrong with writting down what happens on a daily basis or having a place you can write something down that is private that you cant talk to others about. It is ok and yes it is very normal.

that is totally normal!! Getting to know yourself and being open with your feelings, even if it's only with yourself is very healthy and could help you in the long run!! I'm guessing you have a sensitive side, which is so awesome, your the kind of guy who will get the girl of your dreams one day and keep her, unlike jocks who could care less about feelings and being open!! keeping a journal is a very healthy thing for anyone. It helps you to sort out your thoughts and feelings and to see concrete evidence of progress you have made. by reading it you can remind yourself of mistakes you have made so that you don't make the same ones again.

That is normal. I know guys don't talk about those things but I bet one of your friends does it too. It is actually a very healthy way to vent anger and such. If you are embarrassed keep it your little secret.Don't worry you seem to be a normal guy. :)

Lol im 13 to i think thats fine anyways its always fun to look back and see what you said when you are like 20 or something but that is cool that you let your emotions down on paper. :)
