ok this girl told this dude I liked him, & I do, to a exstent. I think he's cute and sweet some times, but I don't really think theres that much there, ya know. So now since that little ***** said that he avoids me like the plague! now idk he was a cool friend, but we share friends and its Really Award!!! I just dont know what to do! he acts like I'm chasing after him, & I'd do no such thing! you could bet your life on it. so I guess the Question is how do I stop this girl from spreading such gossip, and cope w/ the dude being stupid & thinkin I want him and stuff?

Tell that girl that she better stop if she knows what is best for her and if she doesn't then you get a guy either write something really bad about her on the bathroom wall or a have a guy start a rumor about her and that guy that was your friend like that she was telling everyone that you liked him so that he would stop talking to her so that she could get close to him because she dreams of them getting married one day... Trust me that will freak him out and this guy will soon be talking to you again make sure that you have someone tell him that you never liked him even if you kind do...

Confront this girl..or if it's serious tell someone. Send him a note telling him that you want to remain strictly as friends & that this girl only said something because she likes him.
Or if you want to take a more positive route, tell him whats going on through a note/convo w/e you feel more comfy doing.
And as for her making up rumors..THATS B.S.! Either do the same thing back or confront her about it and make her knock it off. If you hide it then it's only going to get worse.

Get on with your life ignore him. he & she are both not worth your time. A proper education is better than spending time on such little problems. By the way, it's "awkward"

Just be yourself and try to avoid the girl. You'll probably find she's jealous of you for some reason. Talk to the guy tell him that it was all a figment of the other girls imagination.

ignore it just every time you see him give him a disgusted look, and walk off, oh and the girl part there's not much u can do except ignore it or just let her know that you don't appreciate the way she spreads rumors just don't spread rumors about her and get everything blown out of proportion

there is a time for everything and everything in its time.
if you feel that he needs to know the truth then find the right time or media to tell him without spooking him. i agree that gossip and/or "helpful people" are a real hazard but if you are able to manage damage control to just what is available to you, that is a bit of a consolation ....yeah?

Tell everyone you heard a rumor that you liked him and you think that is sick you don't like him.
And don't worry about if you don't like him it shouldn't matter
maybe he avoids you because he likes you too
