I am scared to commit to a purse.. what if she thinks it's ugly.. then just pretends "Oh I like it..." ???

The only way to know if she'll like it is to show her and have her give an honnest oppinion, there's really no other way.
The best way to have an educated guess as to wether she'd like it is to get to know her. Does she like purses? what's her favorite colors? what kind of purse does she have?
If she's always had the same one she probably isn't the type to pick up and enjoy a new one. If she has a purse for every out fit, or a number of different ones that she likes to mix and match then a purse would probably be a good gift.

When you guys are together out looking around and she makes a comment about something she sees, make mental notes. Ask her what features she likes about it. Keep a running list in your head. Then when an occassion comes up, you can go back to those stores and get exactly what she wants. Or if that exact item is no longer carried, you'll have a better idea of what she likes.

Do you know her best friend or slose femal friend? If so ask their advice in secret! I always go shopping with my friends so they know what I like! Or take her shopping for the day and just keep an eye on stuff she likes without being too obvious!! Steph x

i guess it all depends on how long you guys have been together...but since you have no clue what to get her, im going to assume you guys havent been together very long....
some options would be: cd's, a picture of you two together, a necklace or bracelet, ipod.....
just pay attention to what she likes and what she looks at in the mall, and im sure she'll drop hints to help you out! good luck!

Buy her A Romero Britto perfume, girls love the scent. My fiance especially loves the ocean one but I have given her all of them. They arent even that expencive ($40-$60)...

Ask her what interests her. Or go to the mall and when she says something like "Oh that's cute!!" (to an outfit) say "Oh I'll buy that for you" or something like that. Or give it to her the next day.

look at the things she has to make sure of her style, listen well when she talks about things that seem not to matter-she may mention how she needs/wants something random that she might not think she'll get...also, you can talk to her family and friends and see if she has mentioned anything she wants to them. :)
