It's not a typical "old age" symptom. At 17 years, you need a vet to check her out (blood test) to make sure nothing is happening inside that is hurting her. Going deaf or blind doesn't make them scream, in fact, if they develop infirmities like that they will usually become quieter because they do not want to attract attention from predators. Take her to the vet to make sure there's nothing physical giving her problems.

this is thoroughly regular habit. I had a 2 twelve months previous cat in extreme college and then have been given a 6 week previous female kitten so as that he might have a chum (my mom now has the two cats). We additionally moved a pair of month while we've been given the kitten. He went interior the direction of an analogous factor. I nevertheless keep in mind the day that they finally became "buddies" (a pair of week after the flow), and now they're thoroughly inseparable. Your older cat is affected by a great variety of rigidity maximum appropriate now. basically provide it a while and as quickly as issues are settled down from the flow, i'm specific each little thing would be superb.

I would call the vet right away. There could be something serious and you could save her life by taking her to the vet. She could be in pain. Most cats don't just cry b/c of old age. Something is usually very wrong.

Was she trying to tell you that her bowl was empty or something...or did she just do that for no reason? Has she been doing this often since you came home? Honestly, at 17...I would take her to the vet if you even BEGIN to think she's doing that from pain. She could (not saying she is) be having a stroke or heart problem that's causing her pain.

For pity sake...there's such a thing as a vet. If you can afford a vacation...surely you can afford to take her.

I would call your vetrinarian tomorrow. She may have something wrong with her. However, it is possible that she may be trying to get attention since you have been gone.
