The ticket is probably about 125. You will also have to pay for traffic school to get it off your record. I would suggest comedy traffic school.

I've had the "almost" same incident ocurr to me. I was traveling through NC 22mph over the posted speed. The best thing to do is either, talk the prosecuter before the trial (usually only a few minutes before the hearing) ALONE, or plead guilty and hope they're unwilling to fight the case and simply reduce the fine and points. Or, you could even contact a local lawyer to fight the case for you in hopes that they know the prosecutor better than most, and get points knocked off given this is your first offence.
also, check the books... you maybe able to get the charge changed to careless operation which is no points, but a hefty fine. the point of doing this is to get around the insurance increase...
and on the last note.. you could always contact a lawyer and find out how they propose to do what they do and simply mimic that...

The fine will generally be somewhere between $200-$400. I got caught going 85 in a 65mph zone and my ticket was $385. Then you have to pay to go to traffic school. Total investment of the ticket = $450. OUCH.

Well, in California, your first traffic violation is usually around one hundred and something dollars. Traffic school is paid on the day that you go. It's like 40 bucks or so. Just be careful, because every traffic violation you get after this will automatically go up. My last violation was around 500 dollars. So I would definitely recommend being careful.

You will be mailed a letter by the court containing a court date, whether or not you will have to appear, the amount of the fine, and traffic school info if available for your infraction, which it should be. Expect anywhere from 1-300 + cost of traffic school.

Dont pay anything!!! Always and I mean Always! fight a speeding ticket. You wont lose anything fighting it. If the cop doesnt show up which 75% of the time doesnt, you will be off the hook. If he does then oh well you still try to fight it at the end even if you lose you will still have to pay the original fine. But trust me fight it. Its worth the try always. My last victory was a 105 in a 65. So you see its possible. FIGHT IT!!!!! like I said you wont lose anything trying.

Approximately $266.00. Pay it and go to traffic school and it won't show on your record for insurance purposes. Good luck.
