Great question.
What they don't want to admit is that the concept of Original Sin was due to the acquisition of knowledge by man. That humanity was condemned by this deity for obtaining knowledge. That they in fact worship a deity that wanted mankind to remain in a state of perpetual ignorance. Not exactly the type of deity I would follow.

1) I don't say that the Bible is the "perfect" word of God. But I do say that it is inspired. I would analogize myself in that comparison; I am not poerfect, but I can also be inspired.
2) I don't know why people make such a big deal out of this. It's like talking about a wave in the sea, where does one wave end, and the other begin?
But okay. God said to Adam not to eat of the tree. Eve first ate off the tree, I'm not interested in why, but she was familliar with what God said, she said so. And then she instead of listening to God, went ahead and ate of the tree. Adam did to. So there, sin began in men and woman. Dammit!
So how to get out of it? Jesus Christ.
So WHY did the chicken OR the egg have to be first? / :

If you read the story in Genesis you will see that things are spiritually representative of physical things not to say the story isn't literal but there are spiritual meanings behind the literal story. First we have an example of sin in disobedience. I say example of sin because without law there is no sin but we have a verbal command by God and man disobeying God, Th tree that they ate of was called the knowledge of good and evil and this tree represents the law. God forbid them to eat of the tree because the day they ate of it they would die. Now the consequences of eating of the tree was death. the reason we can see was that God's law was perfect and man is not so taking of the law was to fall short of the law and in this way man perishes. There were two trees i the midst of the garden the other tree was the tree of life and this tree represents salvation God's mercy and Jesus Christ. These two trees represent the two natures of God..His righteousness represented by the tree of knowledge of good and evil and God's mercy represented by the tree of life. What we learn from the story is God's plan for his creation he made man with free will and a sinful nature and he gave us the law and we could not live up to it and the wages of our sin was a separation from God and thus death. The penalty for sin is death but through God's grace he came in the form of man Jesus Christ to pay the penalty of death for us.

Don't you know the definition of disobedience?? The Bible says they did something God specifically told them not to do! That's what disobedience is!

from their disobedience
(genesis 3:17)
And to Adam he said: “Because you listened to your wife’s voice and took to eating from the tree concerning which I gave you this command, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground on your account. In pain you will eat its produce all the days of your life
Sinful Adam could bequeath to his offspring only sin and imperfection, with all the anxieties that mar human life. (Rom. 5:12)
thats why god punished him before he and eve bore children
so all their children were born after they sinned
thats why they are all imperfect
(Job 34:15)
All flesh will expire together, And earthling man himself will return to the very dust.
(Genesis 3:19)
In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Hello. Read the scripture God told them don't do it they did it anyway what would you call that.
I have never known anyone to stupid to understand the message of Jesus Christ. However I know and have known numerous individuals far to smart to understand anything at all, once they have it in there head they are right and the rest of the world is wrong regardless of what anyone tells them.

(Genesis 2:17) . . .17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die..
So to disobey is what they did that in turn caused death.
Sin: is missing the mark and they did.
