As a former active duty Marine ( 1966-1968 ) I can tell you that we are the largest Fraternity in the world. It's not an easy life in the Corps but it is very rewarding to wear the EGA ( Eagle, Globe and Anchor). I know that on a personal level the Corps has made me a better person and has given me the ability to conquer anything thrown my way. I will not jump up and down for you to enter since that is a very personal decision, I can only tell you that the pride inthe Corps continues to live in me after all these years.

i'm interior an analogous place as you're. a million/2 of my family individuals helps me and the different a million/2 isn't. Why no longer serve your united states of america ask them why you may desire to no longer connect. I wager they'll probably say which you will get killed yet you may desire to die any day. communicate with them and additionally with a recruiter or somebody that has been interior the marines so which you have that first hand journey. in the event that they do no longer assist you with this determination will they help the different judgements on your destiny. communicate with reference to the advantages including your loved ones and safeguard why you like to connect. yet pay attention them out, do no longer in hassle-free terms block each little thing they say, tell them that in case you connect you like their help, and it will assist you interior the direction of the difficult experience forward. sturdy luck.

Me and you are in exactly the same situation. Im about to go into the DEP so after High School I go to the Marines. You just have to tell them that you want there support, that YOUR GOING to do it; your asking for their support and not their permission. Make sure they know your going to do it either way, and that the best thing they can do is support you; if they dont, then your still doing it.

Look them right in the eye and say(pay attention)..I...(state your full name)...want ...to...become...a...United States Marine...

This should be your only reason....if not your asking for trouble.
Don't join unless your willing to die for the Marine next to you.
