I'm having family problems, & my former foster mom just told me how my psychiatrist told her how I told him about her abusing me. If I can't trust a psychiatrist, counselor, or psychologist, then who do I have to trust to talk about my problems? & when they go back & tell the abuser, that just makes the problems worse when the abuser confronts me.

I'm so sorry that you have had a breach of confidentiality, you psy. should not have told anyone about what is said between the two of you (unless you gave him /her written permission even if you are underage). You should check into you states laws to determine your next step. If you are in a foster home and you are being abused you need to tell you social worker to place you in a different home! I hope that you keep us all updated and best wishes to you

hey, i feel like this all the time, the fact that i dont have anyone to talk to. My mom and i have a pretty bad relationship and its just been worse starting like this month. I never know who to talk to. I cant talk to my dad, because he doesnt believe anything that comes out of my mouth. My mom is the problem so that leaves her out of the situation and whenever its achually going well with her (barley ever) she just says "you are 100% wrong, get out of my face, im right" , i dont know how that sounds to you but to me ( im thirteen) and i dont really have anyone else to go to so its pretty bad. So just try talking to your best friends, i have 2 best friends that i talk to ever night and we have this thing where i share my information and they share theres. It works and helps me get through the night without doing anything bad... You could also try talking to a coach of a sport you might play or teacher that your really close too. I hope i gave you some good ideas. Hang in there.

psychiatrist are well known for playing both ends against the middle if you can bait the situation with disinformation or u can play dead and try not to get upset, as this being upset is the foundation they will use to pull the wool over your eyes as the saying goes that why people never say anything and smile allot
