You need to sit down and TALK open and honestly with her about how you feel..... Ask her how she feels and why..... she may have goals she wants to reach before she takes such a big step, there could be good reasons as to WHY she is side stepping you....... Do NOT accuse or such just gently ask her what she is feeling and thinking...... God bless

How long have you been engaged? You should sit down at have a discussion about why she is apprehensive. Is she just having jitters? Is she wanting a career or to finish college first?

If she is not showing an interest in wanting to get married but says she does want to get married, tell her choosing a date for now, is just a target date. A guideline to work on budgeting and getting things ready. As long as it's at least a year out...you can always change it, before invitations are printed and before deposits are paid for anything.

The main thing is the two of you need to be able to communicate.

I hope all goes well for you.

I think she is anxious, you want her to be excited. It isn't unusual to be nervous about getting married. Talk to her about why she doesn't want to set the date.

Well, you're not officially engaged until you have a date set, assuming she already has a ring. If she isn't interested, ask for the ring back and move on....

Just give it time if you are getting married she will eventually get excited.
You set the date and see what she says

You're getting married to another man (fiance)?? Congratulations!!

Or did you mean FIANCEE? That would be the female version.

Tell her (or him) how you feel using "I" statements. You need to agree on something you can both live with.

maybe she is happy with being engaged and doesn't feel rushed and doesn't want tofeel rushed. Perhaps you should sit her down and make sure this is really what she wants and ask her if there is a reason.
