I have straight brown hair thats about 3 or 4 inches below my sholder. I also have side bangs. I have a curling iron, and hot rollers which im sure i'll have to use. Can someone please give me exactly what to do with the curling iron or hot rollers and give me step by step instructions on how to get my hair to look like the picture below?

I usually pull my hair into a bun and let it air dry after taking a shower. But blow dry it first to when your hair is still damp but almost dry. Then the bun til it dry. Then I curl my hair small section at a time. Either from bottom to top or side to side. But the trick is... I roll my hair outside of the curling iron. I don't clip my hair on the iron. If you know what i mean. I rol my hair around the curling iron and hold the tip so it won't fall out and leave it for a couple seconds then let it down. I suggest you use products for your straight hair depending if its dry, damaged, colored, or frizzy, etc. Any stores have it. It'll help your hair to create to waving curl and long lasting too!! Put it before or after curling your hair depending on the instruction of the product.

i think you should put your hair in the hot rollers bc her hair looks wavy rather than curly. and curling irons give you dense curls (you can make them less denser by using a pick to comb throught them but it wont end up looking like her). and the hot rollers will add a cute volume to your hair too. and when you are put ur hair in the hot rollers, twist the section of the hair and then wrap it around the roller, that will add more defined waves. put the bangs in the rollers too but take them out earlier then the rest of the hair so it doesnt look all wavy and wierd. cuz bangs look wierd wavy.

Just go ahead and use the curling iron, but be sure to make the curls very loose (ps use heat protectant) and when your done, shake it out, don't brush it. Two things: your hair might not look like that because your hair color might be different, and your hair might be too short. I can't see a pic of you so I don't know.
