Worcestershire (pronounced wuss-ter-sheer) is made of vinegar, anchovies, onion, tamarind (a tropical resinous fruit pulp) plus other various flavors/spices (such as soy, chili pepper and/or garlic) in a sweet base of molasses or corn syrup. Traditionally used as a steak and poultry condiment, it is impossible to truly describe the flavor without tasting it. Many people enjoy it, but it is an acquired taste.
