Be very careful what you put on your cat! If it says not for internal use then it's a no no. Cats not only lick their wounds but they absorb things through the skin that can harm their kidneys and liver.

Here is a gental solution I have had great luck with. First clean the area. Get some aloe and grapefruit seed extract. You can mix this with water or use the aloe straight. Put in one drop of the GSE per ounce of aloe. Never use GSE straight as it burns. The aloe will make the wound feel better and heal faster. The GSE will kill bacteria that may cause an infection. If you warm the mixture in your hand and massage it in, the cat will look forward to having it done. This mixture is safe to drink by cat or person. If there is any sign of infection go to the vet asap. Any health food store will carry both items.

The idea of spraying or splashing water in the face of the agressor is excellent. My vet told me this and it does work. Well it doesn't work on my older male cat. He just closes his eyes and sits there!

Neosporin!! Trust me it works just as good on animals as it does on people. My cats come inside with cuts and scrapes all the time. Make sure you clean the cut first and then rub a little onto the wound. And try to teach the other cat not to hurt her.

I suggest asking a vet. It might get infected. In the meantime try any kind of lotion that is made of plants-natural remedies that don't have any side-effects are usually good.
