I'm going to the doctors about something but can't get in until friday. Until then, anyone know what this could be?: Quite a while ago I started getting occasional aches & pains in my right elbow. Then I started getting them in my lower arm as well. It wouldn't be every day, just time to time. Now I' getting them (on the same arm) in my wrist too. Even pushing something (like a door open) can cause some light pain in the wrist. So now it's the whole lower arm that's affected. The aches & pains aren't that bad, but definitely noticeable.
At first I thought it may be RTS (repetitive strain injury) as I use my right hand/arm a lot at work (I'm a postman) for sorting letters, and I also use it for my mouse with my PC, but now I'm not so sure. Do you think it's RTS, or something else? Thanks in advance.

trapped nerve maybe? i get free massages (which are very painful) but if i didn't would probably be how you're describing.. if it's happening when you're pushing things i'd go for something muscular but i'm not at all qualifed to say what it is!
don't worry about it, sure your gp will help x

Could be something like tennis elbow or even carpal tunnel syndrome. Would you post your doctor's opinion when you get it Friday? I'd be interested since my elbow's been hurting it wakes me from a dead sleep, can't lift/carry with that arm, etc...

Sounds like tennis elbow, yes you can get it in your wrist and arm as well as your shoulder and elbow.Try resting it for a while or using a tube a grip on the affected parts.

Sounds like you may have tendonitis(sp) alot of people get this from constant use of their tendons. .. I believe it's actually inflamation that sets into the tendons.. alot of the time the Doctor will perscribe an anti-inflamatory and advise you to wear an athletic brace when the arm in in use.

i think its RTS. you pretty much explained it for your self though. the doctor will tell you what it is and you only have to wait until friday so i don't think its really worth asking, especially if you have had this problem for a while now.

The fact that you have them in your lower arm (where there are no joints) suggests that is neither RSI nor athritis.
Sounds more likely to be muscular. Have you tried building up your arms with weights ? That might help, if it is muscular.

This could be because of muscle fatigue or dehydration. Try exercising all parts of your body. It also sometimes is due to disuse atrophy. Try out some home remedies. You can also look for information in the web that give you home remedies. I found this website very useful. http://aches.in/cramps.html

its probably tennis elbow, is it you dominant arm? if it is then you are using it to much, try using your other hand for things when possible and rest your arm that hurts.
