I have a number of allergies including dairy, cocoa (yes this means I am not supposed to eat chocolate), and a variety of others... I know that these foods will give me horrible stomach aches but I eat them anyway :-o How can I stop?
Keep in mind that cheese is in all kinds of yummy stuff, mac & cheese, nachos, cheesecake, etc. I love nachos... lol. Also, keep in mind that I am of an average weight, more on the thin side actually, so this question has nothing to do with weight gain.

that SUCKS, I eat chocolate all the time and this shouldn't be a problem because you're not fat ( I'm not either :D) and it's hard not to eat chocolate. Keep eating chocolate.

You can get dairy free chocolate and sweets, look at vegan websites for ideas. Health food shops are another place to explore and the 'free from' aisle in supermarkets is a great place. It may be hard to resist temptation but each time you consume milk you are putting yourself in danger. Perhaps you need to have another chat with your parents, as they will be the ones getting you to ER, or giving you the medication. In my house we have several food allergies, and all the culprits are banned - if someone else likes the food that much they can eat it outside.

Try buying some of those dairy pills and the drug store, keep them in your purse and take them before you eat. I have a friend who gets very sick from dairy but those pills make it bare able to eat when she wants a treat

Try substituting carob for your chocolate craving. Are you allergic to milk and milk products? There are tons of lactose free things out there to try from milk to ice cream. Try substituting soy nuts for regular nuts and soy flour, or rice flour for wheat. Hit up the Whole Foods Market and take a look at their selections.

When you get "sick" enough..you will stop..but there are lots of subsitutes out there for dairy..choco.. etc...look around ask your physician..that's the best..other than those options you may some day have an anaphylatic reaction..which can be fatal.

Realize that they are detrimental to your health and just stop.
I quit smoking (after 20 years of puffing) in the recovery room after a heart attack. I realized that it was one of the things that nearly killed me. I stopped then and there. It didn't take long for the craving to go away (a week).
You can do it if you commit yourself to stopping.
Have faith in yourself!

Hmm, find something else that you can get addicted to.
Like candy, lollipops, or if your allergic to that, maybe...something you could find that you really, really like?
It'll help if you stop, and just remind yourself everytime.
Plus, you can actually die from eating allergic foods, so i'd just remind myself if I were you.
