This could also be stated as "Does Pro-Life mean eventual mass DEATH? Now I am 46 and have never married because "almost" every girl I ever met wanted just one thing. A Baby! OK, that's all fine and dandy-it is a natural desire for a woman to want to bring new life into the world and to have the joys of being a mother. So now the world is filled with 7 billion women, whom if the whole world converted to Christianity would be instructed by their religious manuscript to be fruitful. Scientifically, if one takes an assortment of living organisms and places them into an evironment of sustenace they will thrive until the resources for survival dwindle and then are depleted and then DEATH occurs. In seeing the results of world over population and the devestation and disastor that it is causing (try to deny that and I personally will tell you that YOU are THE PROBLEM); how is mankind going to find a continuum for existance? This instruction from the bible is a source of BAD ADVICE 2day!

I have to disagree with the core of your argument. I don't think the world is over-populated. I have heard this phrase repeatedly (it's been used for hundreds of years), but I've yet to see it supported with evidence.

The definition of over-population - is when there are too many people for the resources. Well, this is not the case now. As a planet we have enough water, food, etc for the entire population. Some areas of the planet may be over-populated (and probably are), but others are not. There is also an issue of infrastructure - getting the resources to those who need them.

The primary problem is the access to clean water in the less developed countries. This is a problem of money, though and in general it is improving every year.

If you disagree, please post links to supporting data from reputable sources. Just because people say there is a problem, it doesn't mean there is.

Overpopulation is definitly a big problem. For those of you that don't think so, imagine 2x as many people living on your block in about 45 years. It's not a myth, or a theory. If we continue to procreate at the rate we are now, in about 45 years, our poplulation will double to over 13 billion.
It doesn't mean you can't have kids, just don't have more than 1 per person, or 2 per couple. Maintaining the population is okay I think.

Over population is a problem.
Third world countries are still having large families. Economics tends to control birth. In the U.S. birth rate is less than 2 per family. In China the Government has determined 1 per family.
In India however it is a different story.
In south America as many as 6 per family.

You are correct in saying that the resources will be used up and the the population will be thinned. In the past we had disease and war that culled the population. Perhaps we are due for another pandemic.

Yes, God did say to be fruitful and multiply... He didn't say to multiply by ten. I'm sure God has no problem with birth control (before conception, mind you... once conception has been achieved it's a different story.)

Unfortunatly, there are many Christians that believe that sex shouldn't be enjoyed, but should be a means of procreation only. If God didn't want us to enjoy sex (with our lifetime partner, mind you) he wouldn't have made it so much fun!

One serious virus could wipe out your over population problem.
If you live in America you forget the motto, "In God We Trust."
If you live anywhere else, God doesn't give "bad advice." Killing babies and shedding innocent blood is one of the main reasons that I look for the Lord to return in my generation. When He returns it will be stopped.
