As you say you have no God, then the question is, Where does you belief come from?
If you don't believe in any God/Gods. then where does your belief come from? Does it come from within your own belief, or does it come from somewhere else? your belief had to exist from somewhere, or else you would not have any belief in what you believe to be true.
As for this being a stupid question, it only stupid to those who don't understand the question. As for my IQ. it does not concern me. I am simply asking common sense questions. And anyone with common sense, would understand what i ask.
As for you non believers, why are you trying so hard to convinve, others of your belief?
I'm not asking anyone to believe what i say. I'm simply asking a question. And what makes you right and them wrong?

*snoooooooze* I'd give a real answer if you weren't so damn preachy.

Why is it so hard to believe that belief exists without devotion to a deity?

Why are you trying to hard to convince non-believers that without religion there is no true belief?

What makes nonbelievers right is the fact that there is no god.

That shouldn't really be so difficult for you to understand.

As for the rest of your question, it sounds as though you believe that beliefs somehow exist separately from the people who hold them. That's what is known as a "category mistake". Beliefs are "things" in the same way that trees and cars and birds are.

As for your defensiveness about your other question, what made it a stupid question was the fact that it was a stupid question. There was nothing there to understand - it was simply a meaningless question based in a direct contradiction. I'm sorry that you feel hurt that people pointed out that fact, but the fault is your own, not that of the respondents.

First off I choose no religion to call my own. I don't try to convince anyone of my beliefs. I don't believe in your god. I like to belive that I am in control of my own life and the thought of god implies that everything is already planned out and nomatter what I do I am just following something elses plan. I don't see why people who believe on god actually do. There is no proof either way. Religion to me is just another reason to argue and quite frankly there is no definite answer so I see it as pointless. why argue if nothing can be resolved? To me, there is no reason so why bother with any of it? The only answer is that there is no "right" answer to any of it because nobody knows. Catholics think Jews are wrong and muslims think catholics are wrong. Nobody is "right" I think if you believe there is a god and it loves you thn there is a god an it loves you. If not then there is no god. To me the thought of god is simply a thought. IF you believe that makes it so. I have never pushed my ideas onto anyone else as I don't like other's views pushed on me. I think every one is entitled to their own beliefs and thoughts and shouldn't be judged acording to them.
I don't quite understand the IQ bit but ok...I guess.

My opinion of an atheists beliefs or facts comes from reasoning. Perhaps I gain these positions through education. I guess I try to convince others of my beliefs (or to me facts) because I think they are right much like how every person in the world involved with somekind of religion does. Every person is dogmatic in whatever position they take. If your a patriot, your going to dogmatically declare your country as the best because your part of it. It could happen involutary as well, Your born a certain race and as you grow you believe its the best race because your part of it. Your path in life will most likely be dogmatic depending on your individual choices or inherited positions. As long as there are differences, there will always be contradicting views on life.

Great question!!

You are in a way referring to a concept similar to " How does one recognize darkness (a.k.a. a lack of light) if there is no light. We cannot know darkness without first knowing light. Nor can one recognize the day as being light without there being dark (aka the opposite of light). A similarly constructed question would be, "how did I get the idea of just or unjust unless both are present."

P.S. As I look over this it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense but anyway... Perhaps it will make sense to you. =)

God Bless!!! P.S. Check out 'Mere Christianity' by C.S. Lewis, it may appeal to you it's kind of philosophical!

anyone's set of beliefs comes from varying amounts of input, observation and thought.

Some people seem to rely solely on input, take it at face value, tune out observations that don't fit, and never think, challenge their beliefs. Others do.

No, God is not an Atheist.... Just read the Ten Commandments. He states that you shall not worship any OTHER gods BEFORE him. So, he obviously knows there are other Gods in existence....

I believe in God. As for the question, if God believes in himself, how can he be an athiest?

I've seen a few answers suggesting you're smoking dope. That is just rediculous and, frankly, a little offensive. Its clear your on some sort of free-base cocaine.
