number one reason is to spread your seed. but seriously having children is a big responiblity with so many gains. you can watch them grown into superb human beings. teach them what you know.
they will be part of you as you will be to them. make good memories that will last a life time. ultimately how you choose to life your life is up to you.

Well I am female, but I think that having children can be one of the most rewarding and important things a person can do. It gives you reason to get up each morning, to be a good person, to set good examples, and the love is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. I had many years in which I thought there was no way I was having kids....but what attracted me the most to my husband, was his love for his kids from his first marriage....and now I have two kids of my own, and I strive to be a great mom and stepmom. I think it's like anything else, give it thought. Can you see yourself making the sacrifices? If you want kids, why bother with daycare, why have kids if they spend each day with strangers? Will your mate have the same views. It's your own flesh and blood, would you really consider passing it off to nannies and whatnot? It breaks down the animalness of us to a basic level....our offspring provide us with the most basic of protective instincts. IF you don't see yourself making those sacrifices and finding a measure of joy in them (OK, not everyday is going to be easy or great) then perhaps having your own children is just not on the agenda. It doesn't make you a less feeling or less compassionate person, it makes you realistic and practical. How many people have kids just 'cause they were too stupid to use protection, then they bring unwanted children into the world. When you decide to do it or not do it, FEEL GOOD ABOUT YOUR DECISION, defend yourself, and feel peace. It's OK either way.

Well a good reason to have a child would be to have a family, only if you are really serious with somebody and love this person a whole lot and this person loves you back and stuff and wants to have a child with you, a reason not to have a child would be for those who are just a casual dater and dont want anything to ever be serious and for those types of people i dont believe that a child would be something they want. The reason i want children now is because i found somebody that wants the same thing that i want and i feel as though a child would be awesome to raise in this type of enviorment with somebody i love and care about and now i am having that family that i want. IF anything i hope this helps you out in knowing for sure what you want. Good Luck

some people actually don't want kids. most people do.
i did. and i had some. i have never regretted it.
my cousin on the other hand never wanted kids and never had any.
it's a personal choice that has to be considered really carefully. if you are totally sure you never want kids make sure you are with someone that also doesn't want children. if you don't you will be extremely sorry!!! it will be a never ending fight over the subject.
having kids on the other hand,,,,,
they are expensive, time consuming, oh hell they are life consuming, the older they get the more problems you are likely to encounter, they get sick, they want things you think are silly, they need things that you can't afford, they get jealous of their siblings, oh you name it and there is a problem to cover it....
on the other hand they are the most rewarding, loving, wonderful things that ever came in to my life!!! i simply can not imagine my life without my children!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be married first. Then a lot depends on your feelings about the level of maturity of your wife.
