Tuna-Noodle Casserole~~~
Recipe by: The Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook & Program Basics
6.5 Points Per Serving
This all-time favorite casserole is perfect on a cold, dreary night
or when you've had a stressful day.
4 1/2 ounces medium egg noodles
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped bell peppers (green, red and yellow)
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup frozen sweet corn, thawed
One 10.5-ounce can reduced-calorie undiluted mushroom soup (70
calories per can)
8 ounces drained canned chunk light tuna packed in water, flaked
1/2 cup skim milk
Few drops hot pepper sauce
2 tablespoons minced parsley
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 slices reduced-calorie fresh whole-wheat bread, made into crumbs
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan cheese
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
Preheat oven to 350º. Spray shallow 2-quart casserole with nonstick
cooking spray. In large pot of boiling water, cook noodles 8
minutes, until tender.
Drain; keep warm. Meanwhile, spray a large saucepan with nonstick
cooking spray. Add onions and celery; cook, stirring frequently,
about 2 minutes,until tender-crisp. Add bell peppers, mushrooms and
corn. Continue cooking and stirring, 5 minutes longer, until tender.
Stir in soup, tuna, milk, hot pepper sauce, parsley and pepper.
Remove from heat; stir in noodles.
Transfer to prepared casserole. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and
Parmesan cheese; bake 15-20 minutes, until crumbs are golden brown
and crisp. Top with fresh tomato slices. Serve hot.

EASY CHEESY TUNA SKILLET CASSEROLE
1 pkg. Kraft macaroni & cheese (dry cheese mix)
1 sm. can tuna
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. paprika
2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
Cook the macaroni from the mix according to package directions.
Meanwhile, combine the last 6 ingredients in a non-stick 10 inch
skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until macaroni is
done. Add tuna and drained macaroni to skillet mixture, heat through
and serve. Serves 4.
Microwave Tuna Casserole
2 cans tuna in water (drained)
1 cup cheese, grated(your choice)
1 can mushroom soup
1/2 can milk or water
potato chips
10" x 3" casserole dish (mine is round)
Spread a thin layer of chips in a 10-inch round
casserole dish.
Sprinkle 1/2 can of tuna over it.
Mix mushroom soup with milk or water.
Pour 1/4 of the mushroom soup over top of tuna.
Top with 1/4 cup of cheese.
Repeat this for 3 more layers.
Put in microwave on high until the mushroom soup
is bubbly and the cheese is melting.
English Casserole
Small shell macaroni
Can of tuna fish
White sauce
Cheese [grated]
Frozen peas
Tomato soup
Season to taste
Preheat oven 300
Cook macaroni to med one, drain and place in a casserole
dish.
Layer with tomato soup, then peas.
Cover with white mixed with tuna fish.
Top with grated cheese.
Bake for one half hour.
Serve with extra sauce available for those who
a saucier taste.
Add garlic bread and/or a green salad and you have
dinner.
White sauce
Heat milk slowly to med heat.
In another dish mix water with
cornstarch, [amount of starch with depend on how thick
you prefer].
Mix with heated milk, stirring continually until well
mixed.
Add tuna, stir in and serve extra in a gravy dish.
Season to taste
Tuna Artichoke Casserole
1 (7 ounce) can tuna, drained
1 (8 ounce) jar artichokes, drained
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
Black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Arrange artichokes in a greased, 1-quart baking dish.
Sprinkle broken tuna over artichokes.
Add flour to melted butter in saucepan
and slowly add milk.
Cook until thick.
Add salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
Add sliced mushrooms.
Pour sauce over artichokes and tuna.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
*HE-MAN'S TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE
Yield: 6 servings
6 oz Egg Noodles; Medium
2 Tbsp Butter
1 can Cream Of Mushroom Soup
1 cup Milk
1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Onion; Finely Chopped
1/4 cup Pimiento; Sliced
1/2 cup Green Bell Pepper;Fine Chop
1 cup Celery; Chopped
6 1/2 oz Tuna; Drained And Flaked *
15 Ritz Crackers; **
Parsley; For Garnish
* An additional 3 oz can of Tuna can be added for a meatier casserole.
** Ritz crackers (15 = Half a Stack) should be broken but not crumbled.
Cook noodles in salted water; drain. Coat with butter. Preheat oven to 425
degrees F. In a large saucepan, mix soup, milk, sour cream, salt, onion,
pimiento, pepper, and celery. Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for 15
minutes. Add tuna. Combine with noodles and pour into 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle top with Ritz crackers. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Garnish with parsley
before serving. Makes enough for 6 hungry men.
Deviled Tuna Casserole
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup minced celery
5 Tbsp. minced green pepper
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 cup milk
2 cups tomato juice
1 (9 oz.) pkg. noodles, cooked
1 1/2 cups cooked peas
2 cups flaked tuna
1/4 cup sliced olives
buttered crumbs
Cook onion, celery and green pepper in butter or margarine until soft. Add
flour, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Add milk slowly, stirring
constantly, until smooth and slightly thickened. Add tomato juice, noodles,
peas, tuna and olives. Pour into well oiled casserole; cover with buttered
crumbs. Bake at 400° 20 min. or until brown and thoroughly hot.

MAMA'S SECRET-RECIPE HOMEADE TUNA
CASSEROLE
4-5 cups tuna
2 cups fish oil
1/2 cup of cornmeal
2 lbs anchovies
1 tomato
2 cups saltine crackers
1 onion
1 garlic clove
hot sauce (optional)
blender or food processor
square pan
3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup shredded blue cheese
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil and cornmeal. Layer cornmeal mixture on bottom of pan.
Layer on tuna. In a food processor, grind crackers into very fine crumbs; remove from processor. Process anchovies, tomato, garlic and onion until a smooth sauce is obtained.
Spread a layer of anchovy sauce and top with a layer of crumbs. Sprinkle with blue cheese and hot sauce.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Serves 4-6.

Cook egg noodles, drain.
In the same pan that you cooked the noodles, add can of crm of mushroom soup, tuna, frozen peas, salt & pepper to taste. Mix all very well. Return noodles to pan and mix well again.
Place mixture into a 13x9 greased pan.
Take a bag of LAYS chips and crush -- sprinkle on top.
Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes - till chips are golden brown.

Make mac and cheese add tuna, peas and onions.. you could also add some thousand island dressing for a kick. Yes it will work either hot or cold.
Tuna Casserole is a comfort food nobody calls it healthy anymore :-/

1 box macaroni and cheese prepared according to package directions. In separate pan combine 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 can of peas drained, and 1 6oz can of tuna drained. Bring to a boil stirring frequently. add to mac and cheese and stir together. Can be eaten hot or cold.

Take a box of Kraft Macaroni and cheese. Boil the noodles and drain. Add margarine , a can of cream of mushroom soup, the cheese from the packet, and tuna. It is great.

I just made one for lunch!! I made the casserole with tuna and alfredo package, then mixed in a teaspoon of horseradish mustard, teaspoon of jalepeno juice, melted sharp cheddar, served with crunched sour cream and onion chips!! Yummy!!

Tuna & Macaroni Casserole Siciliana
12 ounces tuna in water, drained and flaked
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1/2 cup bell peppers, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
14 1/2 ounces tomatoes, crushed
8 ounces no-salt-added tomato sauce
2 tablespoons parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup elbow macaroni, cooked
1/4 cup fat-free parmesan cheese
In a skillet, heat oil over medium flame. Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook until all is tender.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, salt, sugar, basil, oregano, and lemon juice. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in tuna and cooked elbow macaroni. Heat over low flame, 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
Baked Brown Rice & Tuna Casserole
3 cups basmati rice, cooked, hot (brown or white)
2 cups celery, sliced
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained
3 hardboiled egg, chopped
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (3 ounce) can French fried onion rings
Saute celery in butter until tender crisp.
Add brown rice, tuna, eggs and lemon juice. Fold in mayonnaise. Season to taste.
Turn into shallow buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole. Top with onion rings.
Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
Creamy Crunchy Tuna Casserole
1 cup chow mein noodles (I prefer La Choy in a can)
1 (10 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (6 ounce) can tuna
1/8 cup milk
1/4 cup peas
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
3 slices white bread, cubed
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray 11x7 (2 quart) baking pan with non-stick spray.
Line bottom of pan with chow mein noodles.
In a medium bowl, combine soup, tuna and milk.
Stir till creamy.
Add peas and mushrooms.
Pour mixture in pan over chow mein noodles.
Cover mixture with cubed bread.
Bake for about 15 minutes.
Serve immediately.
Unique Tuna Lasagna Casserole
1 (15 1/2 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 cup minced onions
1 clove minced garlic
2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans tuna fish, drained
1 (8 ounce) box lasagna noodles
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 (8 ounce) package sliced mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Heat oven to 350.
Lightly,grease a 12x8x2 baking pan.
In a medium saucepan,combine the first 6 ingredients.
Stir well and bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce the heat,simmer 15 minutes.
Stir on occasion.
Cook the lasagna noodles as directed on package.
Drain.
With spoon,add one third of the tunafish mixture into the dish.
Layer half each of the noodles,ricotta,and mozzerella cheese.
Top with one third of tuna mixture.
Repeat the layers with the remaining noodles,ricotta,mozzerall and tuna.
Sprinkle on top layer,the parmesan cheese.
Uncovered,bake for 40 minutes.

2 cups No Yolks egg noodle substitute, uncooked
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup skim milk
10 3/4 ounces low-fat cream of mushroom soup
6 ounces tuna in water, drained and flaked
2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
1/4 cup white breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 350.
Prepare a 2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray; set aside. Heat water to boiling.
Add noodles and salt. Boil for 9 minutes and drain.
Add milk to soup and mix well.
Arrange half of noodles, half of tuna, half of peas, and half of soup mixture in layers in prepared dish.

3/4 cup milk
2 cups chow mein noodles, divided

Sauté celery, onion and green pepper in 1 1/2 tablespoons butter.
In saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
Mix in flour, stir until smooth.
Remove from heat and add salt and milk.
Heat the mixture until it boils (stirring frequently).
Boil for 1 minute or until thick (keep stirring).
Add tuna and sauce to vegetables in pan.
Stir in milk, 1 cup of the chow mein noodles, the cashews and pepper.
Pour into 1 1/2 quart buttered baking dish.
Top with remaining chow mein noodles.

3 cups milk
2 cups process American cheese
2 cups tuna in water, drained
2 cups tart apples, core/dice
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup breadcrumbs, soft
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
In saucepan, melt 6 tb butter or margarine over low heat.
Blend in flour and 3/4 ts salt.
Add milk all at once.
Cook quickly, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and bubbles.
Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted.
Stir in tuna, diced apples and drained macaroni; turn into 12x7x2 inch baking dish.
Combine melted butter and crumbs.
Sprinkle on top of casserole.
Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes, or until apples are tender.
