if a guy calls you and your answering machine picks up then he calls right back 1 sec later why would he do that if no one picked up the first time?

Because he thought you would answer the second time and he really wanted to talk to you. It's annoying. He probably doesn't know you have caller id.

Cause one second you might be by your phone and then the next second you might not be. Maybe he thinks your just walked away from it for a minute.
