okay, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed about two weeks ago- it was a pretty straightforward procedure with no complications. I am not having pain or problems but everything is still sore and tender- I am just wondering how long before my mouth is completely healed- when will I feel normal again- when can I have POPCORN!!!?!!!?
Also- will I always have the holes in my gums in the back or will they heal over?

Any help from those that have been through it will be greatly appreciated!

The tenderness should subside in less than a month, the holes will be replaced with fresh new gum tissue.

I also got my wisdom teeth out about two weeks ago. They don't hurt anymore but I do have problems with food getting stuck in the holes. My dentist said it would take a few more weeks to fill in and that I should be careful with what I eat. You can probably eat popcorn; just make sure to rinse really well.

It ranges from person to person...My brother had all 4 of his removed and then was eating pizza 2 hours later. When I had mine done I was swollen for around 1 week and could only eat jello. Also the holes in the back of my gums have healed to an extent- they are still there, but not as huge as they used to be.

The tenderness should go away in about a week. The holes will also heal. And soon you will be able to eat popcorn/ whatever you want to eat.

Yes, the pain will go away. Good oral hygiene a must right now and always. Avoid popcorn, breaks teeth and plays games with your digestive tract. The pockets where your teeth used to be will fill in with time. Give it another week or so, if you still have pain go see your dentist.

I had all mine taken out at the same time as you did, they should be feeling better in a couple more days. Make sure you keep them covered so the air doesn't get in their or food, they told me to wash my mouth out with a little water after I ate or drank anything and that seemed to help a lot. hope I was helpful

never had them so I don't know, but with a extraction of a large tooth it will take some time to heal, you will need to wait awhile longer for that popcorn usually a month if there is no infection.
