Who sent it to you? Is it real? Maybe it's just a hoax.

Do your own thing as if he didn't find out about it because your expectations may be that he will say something and you should not be all sad if he doesn't. On the other side it's possible that he just doesn't believe it and expects you to approach him. It all depends on how this messenger worded the message. If they made it sound as if you purposely told them to tell him, then he should say something, but if the messenger just said it out of the blue that you like him, then I'd understand why he's quiet, if he's shy. It can't hurt you to just approach him with a hello and figure out how his behavior is. If he's smiling he was probably shy, if he says more to you that's even better. You don't have to ever say anything to him after that, but atleast do that much to observe how he responds.

You should still contact the police or the authorities. Even if it was just a joke, it's always better to be safe then sorry. + Law enforcement agents will know how to deal with this problem

I recommend that you 1.do not empty your trash folder 2. Take screen shots of your messages and store it in a folder. 3.DO NOT respond to the message if it's an e-mail. 4. Change your password and notify local authorities of your message.

Talk to your police department, and let them know what you have seen. Often times, it's either a hacker or someone else playing games with your mind, and while it scares you, you really need to go forward about it. If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

Maybe you could try just staying off the computer. Unplug the phone and they won't be able to trace you.
