On my way to bed, I usually end up hitting my toe on the computer chair in the dark. I then shout "holy ****.....god damn......****, etc". Does that count?

Yes and in the morning always and throughout the day. For those who fall asleep trying to pray, practice reading the Word of God at night and praying the long prayer in the morning. Short prayer at night and long prayer in the morning. Short prayers throughout the day. I am one of those people blessed by God who falls asleep once my head hits the pillow. And I thank God for it. Another good thing is to fast lunch for a week or dinner for a week or fast just meat. Practice fasting and praying it heals the body and gives spiritual strength.

I pray to Jesus all during the day and at night, at sometime before I go to bed. I find if I don't, I oftentimes find my sleep a bit fitful. I have come to truly know that that is God waking me to remind me of His Presence, and of my forgetfullness. I have come to enjoy His waking me, but then, I don't figure it's good to play games with Him too much, so praying throughout the day is a wonderful experience. May I recommend a wonderful book on praying entitled "How to Pray Always" by Raoul Plus, S.J. (Society of Jesus / Jesuit Priest), written back in 1926, and for sale through The Leaflet Missal Company for $10.95 plus tax and shipping, which brings the total to $15.90. You can go to leafletonline.com to order it. It's not a book of prayers to recite. It's a book by the Jesuit priest, Raoul Plus (1882-1958), on how to get into and stay in the psyche or mood for prayer. It's a small book and very well written, and I just got it a couple of weeks ago, and it's "money-well-spent". Father Plus was born in Boulogne-sur-mer, France and began at the Jesuit College in 1899. It is a wonderful guide on how to get into the frame of mind and soul for prayer. You'll love it. God Bless you.

Yes. And when I wake up in the morning. And sometimes during the day when I think of, or hear of, someone who needs a prayer. And always when I pass the hospital.

Yes, at night twice; once with my children and then by myself. Also in the morning before we leave the house and a lot during the day asking God to please take care of them and my husband when we are not together.
