I've been asked to take part in a "What is Wicca?" panel at a conference this May, and I'm in the process of coming up with a list of questions that the panelists should address.

I thought you folks might have some interesting input on this. The panel is an hour and a half in length. If you were coming to this kind of panel, what questions would you want to see addressed, either as an experienced Wiccan or someone who had barely heard of the religion before?

i would pretty much include most facts that prove it has nothing to do with "Satan, the fact its based on other religons, the fact spells are quite similar to prayers and that Wiccans are normal people and they should be treated with respect. I might also include what a Wiccan is, what magic or "magik" is, what a Wiccan is'nt, the origin of Wicca, and what sets Wicca aside from other Neo-Pagan religion s.

I'd want to ask the panelists their views on Hard versus Soft polytheism.

Hard polytheism is the belief in many Deities, and that all of those Deities are unique individuals. They are not just different ways of looking on one God, but truly separate and distinct beings.

Soft Polytheism is the belief that all Gods are one, and a part of the greater spiritual force of the universe, sometimes simply called "Spirit".
