After all, Scotland in gaelic means "Land of the Irish"

So if Scotland was independent, Rangers would not really belong here anymore.

Hey Andrew H, Not all the teams up here are catholic. Rangers are the only ones who love the queen or as I call her Betty lol

If Rangers did play down here, they could kiss any chance of European play goodbye, even the UEFA Cup.

Of course, the irony is, is that it's celtic that have consistently brought up the idea of moving to the EPL.

Rangers are a British club, we don't claim to be English, we celebrate being Scottish AND British.

Celtic are also (in case you hadn't noticed) a SCOTTISH club, not an Irish one (despite what a lot of their fans might like to believe).

Of course, were Rangers to leave the SPL, it would probably mean celtic would eventually equal the amount of titles Rangers have won, I mean, they are 'only' a decade behind with that.

Why do you say they wouldn't belong in Scotland?they are a Scottish team after all,and what would give them the right to move down south.

They dont need independance. Rangers and Celtic would both move to England's Premiership at the drop of a hat.
