college parties is ruining our relationship additional information?

Thanks for the responses but here is some additional information . My daughter is on the deans list every semester. She has lied to me in the past about where she has been or going. She says she is so stressed out from college and all the studying.

Part of being in and going to college is to find their way in life.. Choosing what and when and where on their own... It is hard on us parents and care givers that love them, but they are NOT children anymore, no matter how we wish they were.... BUT, as the payers of their education and payers of the bills, we do have the right, I feel, to set down a few simple rules and restrictions.. Such as going to a party on wk ends, is ok, IF the drinking is kept to a minimum, if any, and IF they do NOT get behind the wheel of a car.... and you might add that calling is HAVE TO thing every Sunday, or whatever day, and set a time... that is just an example of a condition, as parents it is up to YOU to set YOUR own rules and regulations and to stick to them..... I am the sort of parent who will NOT spend hard earned money to PARTY... good luck and God bless

If your daugher is in college AND she is on the deans list...
why are you worried? She could be lying to you because
she feels that she is an adult and should not have to answer
to you ALL THE TIME..........I tend to agree with her to a point.

Sounds like you need to give your daughter a little bit of freedom
to grow up and make her own mistakes, but still be there for her.

Now, there is something i've got observed approximately dad and mom and parenting. those dad and mom who are not stern and unrelenting with their toddlers are those with the situation toddlers. are not getting me incorrect: you're toddler is basically probably uninterested in listening to the way you do no longer want her to grow to be like her brother, etc..., despite the fact that it it will probably help in case you be stern, even in college. decrease off all her funds, then she'll be too busy to drink by using fact of her interest. communicate on your different daughter, tell her you will do the comparable and recommend IT. college would be a time for drunken partying. despite the fact that that is by no skill a time to get in difficulty and grow to be and alchie.
