If their job is done, then yes. Why is this in the R&S section anyway?

I am strongly opposed to the positioning of troops in Irag, Iwashcloth, or any other nation in the laundry basket region.

Somehow the word Irag makes me hungry. But no not yet. Too messy. Should we have gone in the first place? No.

When Iraq is reasonably secure and the Iraqi government is stable. If we leave to soon and real civil war breaks out we will be back there. And then it wil be even worse. We still have troops in Bosnia.

I would leave that decision to the Government Leaders and the Military. They are involved in Iraq and know more about it then I do.
We are all looking for our troops to be coming back safely and soon.

We need to find a base of operations and keep many of them in the mid-east. One of the worst consequences of this whole situation...and one people haven't noticed yet.....is that we relocated to iraq from Saudi Arabia. They won't want us back. We're losing a lot of ability to project force in a critical economic and geographic region.

I would NOT mind seeing air raids on Iran. I never understood what we were doing in Iraq when there was a real enemy next door.

Yes, when Iraq is able to arm and defend themselves... The U.S. troops should start pulling out little by little and allow Iraq's army to take over...

Absolutely, right away.
Afghanistan also.
I think South Korea also.
Don't try to slow things down. Out of there and let things crank. Lets get this show on the road.

Not totally. Leave some on the borders with Iraq and Syria to keep them out. Let the Iraqis fight it out amongst themselves. Bomb Iran quickly if they get out of line.
