I know that Texas will let and underage person drink if there spouse is 21 or older. I was wanting to go to bennigans for St. Patrick's day but the closest one is in arkansas. I was just wondering if the law was the same.

Just so everyone knows. It is legal to drink in texas when your married and your spouse is legal drinking age. So, don't tell me I'm wrong. I hate it when people don't know what they're talking about and keep talking anyway.

- No one under the age of 21 is allowed to consume or posses alcohol. Anyone under the age of 21 can't drive any motor vehicle with a BAC of .02 but less than a BAC of .10. For anyone 21 years of age or more the BAC limit is .10 or higher.

The site below has policies per state.

In Wisconsin Persons under age 21 may be on licensed premises, and can be sold and allowed to drink alcohol beverages, if they are with their parents, legal guardians, or spouses, as long as those persons are of legal age; but this is at the discretion of the licensee. I don't know Arkansas law, but seeing as many counties in Arkansas are dry I wouldn't keep my hopes up.

Why not call Bennigan's and ask? The policy may vary by restaurant and state law. . .

Sorry I'm from Houston TX & it doesn't matter if your spouse is 21yr, it's you who has to be 21. He could actually get in trouble for contributing alcohol to a minor. On your 21st go out & have a blast. For now please play it safe, for your husband's sake

when in doubt, brown bag it. Arkansas is kinda liberal on alcohol, aren't they the state with the least amount of alcohol tax on the books?

Absolutely NOT the NATIONAL drinking age is 21, no matter who you are with, in every state. Sorry.
