All my adult life I've enjoyed a few beers a night but maybe because I'm getting older I can't keep drinking that much. I'm not really a hard alcohol drinker but I do enjoy good hard stuff sometimes. 46 yr old male- 5' 9" 175 lbs, works out 5 times wk.

Vodka is only the answer if you're looking to develop a real problem

At 46 you will just have to cut back on something---it may be the alcohol or the food, but something will have to go. I can not imagine that switching to vodka will help you at all. Calories are calories. Consume less of something or work out more.

beer tends to enlage a man's belly and gain weight. Vodka is safe - it's on the Kremlin diet as the safest drink (weight wise). But do drink it carefully if you do not want to suffer later from headaches

I would say neither of them are good for you.Maybe wine coolers or just wine
