My 7 year old cat has recently started marking his territory by making tiny wees around the house. Nothing has changed lately, no strange cats are getting into the house. I don't know why he's doing it. His favourite spot at the moment is the iron. How do I stop him?

There has to be something different you are missing. Stress could also be a factor for the kitty. If you know where his favorite spot is spray a feline deterrent there or move the iron where he can't spray it. This site might help as well.

Get him neutered. If he already is, take him to the vet for a check up.

Also has another animal been in your house? My son's cat was marking their old couch. The dog had piddled on it at one time and the cat seemed to think he just had to remark it everyday. Once they got the new couch, he quit.

Take him to the vet & get him checked out for an infection. He may have a bladder or urinary tract infection. Taking care of the infection should fix the problem.
