Evidence is something that suggests an event. Proof is a record of an event that is beyond fabrication or alternate explanation.

As soon as we start talking about the supernatural, and the ability to break the laws of physics (ie there BEING a god) we throw proof out the window. We can never know something for sure, or even to a compelling degree, if our very minds can be controlled and fooled. Come to think of it, as long as there's beer, we can't know anything for sure.
If 2+2 = 5 one day, that would be evidence.

Evidence is one aspect that can either disprove or prove the same proposition depending on its combination and juxtaposition with other evidence, enough of which can result in proof if the logic used is incontrovertible and the evidence has not been manufactured, tampered with or degraded, and all parties agree on the correct logical processes and are of equal and unrivaled intelligence.

Evidence would establish that there could be a God or Gods. Proof would be a particular God popping into my office with 1,500,000 shares of Microsoft stock.

i'm no longer attempting to coach that there is not any god via fact it rather is impossible. you're able to coach that jehovah exists, only like the Hindus could coach that Brahma exists. this is what you seem to prefer to pay attention; that is available- there's a threat- that a god exists. Now do no longer you notice why a threat isn't comparable to an existential fact? you're able to study the version between solid and susceptible atheism. Edit: And there you flow returned which incorporate your logical fallacy. i do no longer could furnish the two evidence or evidence that there is not any god. you're thinking like a theist. you think that god exists, it rather is your default place, and rather everybody else on your concepts could initiate from that factor too. i visit on no account say *there is not any god*, yet i visit assert *there is not any Jehovah*.

Evidence provides proof. There is no scientific evidence of God, therefore no proof.

You don't actually understand the words, do you.
Evidence is an assembalge of data.
Proof is the TESTING of that data. Remember the phrase "the proof of the pudding is in the eating"? Proving bread dough?

Uh, the difference would be a whole lot of evidence required to PROVE his existence.
Was that supposed to be a hard question?

First, tell me what I'm trying to evidence or prove.
I don't know what God is.
Yep.... that's right... I still don't. Didn't we have a discussion about this once?
