I'm not sure if you mean girlfriend or girls as friends, but this can apply to both. Just be friends at first--talk to them about hobbies, sports, movies, families, friends, music, etc. As you get to know them (if you want girlfriend) start flirting a little and then if she flirts back she is probably interested so ask her out.

man i wish i knew.
i am 24 and i am from trinidad. our carnival celebrations have just ended and i feel empty. circumstances are really messed up for me. i got no action, not even a dance from a girl. you don't know the half. usually, i am a joke.
i hope things change for me soon.

Girls like you to have a sense of humour, to be confident and most importantly to be yourself. If you are not they will see through you like a pane of glass. Talk to her. If there is chemistry it will happen, if not... it wont. Keep trying.
