sukob is a filipino superstitious belief regarding marriage.
one is sa patay and one is sa kasal.
sukob sa kasal is when two people related by blood cannot have their marriages done within the same year. one of them must give way by rescheduling or else, a curse will fall upon them to suffer a lot of misfortunes.
sukob sa patay means a person cannot have his/her marriage if a relative dies on that year he/she plans to be wed. he/she must postpone it or else, a curse will fall upon them to suffer a lot of misfortunes.

As of now po nagaayos na kami ulit about sa wedding.

"Sukob" is a Filipino movie... "patay" means dead or corpes...
As the movie’s title (“Sukob”) states, the movie is about all the horrible things that happen when two siblings are married within the same year.

I think it's one year after the death if the person who died is an immediate family member. Traditionally for Filipinos, it takes one year to mourn.
