A very good one is by Innotek it is UltraSmart Micro Remote Trainer. Here is the manufatores decription. You can even buy extra collars.

The highly advanced, integrated collar is remarkably thin and comfortable for your dog. Don't let the pocket sized handheld transmitter fool you. With 300 yards range, 9 levels, training tone option and precision digital display, the Micro Remote Trainer is an advanced system that offered you the options found in much bulkier units.

here is a link to there web site

I would have to say that Dogtra is probably the best e-collar on the market. The one I use is a trainer/beeper combo, because I bird hunt with a german shorthair.

However, since you are only using it to walk the dogs, and don't plan on using them for long distance (mine has an maximum range of 1 mile), I would suggest getting a more economical collar from innotek or tri-tronics.

Most brands make multi-dog transmitters, and are fairly water resistant. So what you should be most concerned about is range and price, and perhaps warranty...sounds like you don't need anything too fancy.

Dogtra does have excellent customer service though, if you were to ever have a problem.

You can find a wide variety of e-collars at Cabelas.com or Lioncountrysupply.com

Just also wanted to say e-collars are great. Besides hunting with mine, I walk my dog also. After minimal training, she began understanding the concept, and I hardly ever have to stimulate her. Good Luck.

dont listen to crybabies who dont understand the dog collars, try checking out a gun-dog forum or such and see if they have good suggestions for effective operation.
the dog collars are not tazers, they do not emit near lethal shocks, they are for distraction purposes, kinda like licking a weak 9V battery and do not harm the animals..

Electric dog collars are cruel. They DO harm the animal.

I have seen those things burn holes into dogs' throats.
I am not making this up.

Do NOT buy one.

There are other ways around that then to resort to an electric dog collar. I think they are inhumane, how would you like if someone strapped an electric collar to your neck??

noo!! don't buy an electric dog collar. you should get an invisible fence...- that works much better then a mean electric collar.
