For instance: The laws of thermodynamics, gravity, entropy, light speed being 300,000 kilometers per second, Are all of these constants needed for the creation of carbon based life (man) to exist? Or can many of them be left out of the universe equation, and carbon based life still come into existence? Can we make carbon an eight electron atom or oxygen a five electron atom? etc. Can five dimension unfold in this universe or would that not fit into a universe created for the existence of stars? planets? man?

We could shield the oil furnish. remember the present stonewalling with the aid of the tea party novices in Congress, and what a stir that led to interior the markets? think of what might ensue if we could no longer get adequate oil to maintain our existence. on a similar time as i've got faith the thought is right, i'm thinking "no" in answer on your question via fact the time hollow between execution and ending touch is only too long. Too undesirable nonetheless. presently, our economic equipment is plagued with the aid of 3 issues: a million. Jobs 2. Gov't Spending 3. national Debt those are the coolest 3 issues we've confronted on the top of each conflict we've fought. interior the previous we've continually raised taxes and engaged in the two a good sized works software or an education software or the two to get ourselves out of hardship. (apparently, the tea party human beings think of the coolest opposite will artwork for some unexplained reason.) shall we use a good sized works software. Non-carbon potential suits.

The Einstein equations currently are understood to have 19 free variables, though 8 of these are believed to be results of the remaining 11 and thus redundant or otherwise determined.

I do not know off hand exactly what these 11 or 19are (I believe four are the strength over distance curves of the four fundamental fources and one is the electromagnetic permeability of vacuum), however, these are the variables you need to set to set every other scientific principle in the universe in motion.

All of them have specific valid ranges, but since these ranges are over real numbers, there are an uncountably infinite number of values for each variable, and thus an uncountibly infinite number of potential combinations.

However, all these combinations are equally likely to occur.

If you take a deck of cards and arrange it AD-KD, AH-KH, AS-KS, AC-KC, that is one particular configuration. Take the deck, shuffle it, and lay it out. That's another configuration.

They're equally likely.

Or a binary example. Say that we want a random byte. We select each bit (8 total) with a coinflip. Since each flip is independant, 0000 0000 is just as likely as 0101 1011, both have a likelihood of 1/(2^8) = 1/256.

Continuing the binary example, let's say self-aware life is only possible in 'byte-verses' that have a bitmask of x0xx1x10. That is, the second bit must be 0, the fifth 1, the seventh and eigth must be 10.

1011 1110 would have the potential for self aware life.
0000 1010 would have the potential for self aware life.

Let's say both byteverses had self-aware life. They would each see their byteverse as being uniquely suited for their form of life. But their byteverse was not created because of their life, they're alive because the byteverse's rules permit their life to happen.

There'd also be no self aware life in 0000 0000 to notice that 0000 0000 could not support life. So all self-aware life is guaranteed to find itself in a universe that supports self-aware life.

Neato! Being constant may be important, but not necessarily. It's possible we live in more than 4 dimensions and haven't figured it out yet. Maybe we should look at the universe as an environment to which life has adapted. Maybe life doesn't exist.

So far all that we have been able to create are a few hydrocarbons that don't even make up a single protein molecule. It takes 72 (estimated) specific proteins to make the simplest living thing. The main thing needed is for all of the laws of chemistry to work. Then an intelligent designer needs to assemble the first living thing. After that evolution can do all the rest.
