They would be arrested and charged with shoplifting. Depending on their record they could get anything from a fine up to and including jail time.

I work at a grocery store and all the times I have seen someone get busted the cops are called and they are led out in handcuffs.
When I was 17 I got caught stealing in a store and had to pay a fine. So I would imagine a adult would be arrested.

That's a heck of a lot of money to go missing. Of course they have to rule out all suspects, and if an employee suddenly resigns around the same time, most likely he'll get caught. It's considered misdemeanor if it's under 300 dollars, but if it's over 400 dollars it becomes an automatic felony charge. And if prosecuted, most likely he'll be looking at prison time and not your regular jail time. It would look good for the culprit if he came clean early, admit to the theft and return the money or most of it, if he hadn't blown all of it already. Throw himself on the mercy of the court more or less. Good Luck!!

That depends where you were,if in Iraq you would probably be electocuted,flogged or worse your fingers cut off.

THEY WOULD GO TO JAIL FOR 1 YEAR AND THAT'S MIGHT BE IT BUT IT WOULD DEPEND ON WHAT AND HOW MUCH THEY STOLE
