Without faith it is impossible to please God. When a person studies the Bible, first you must have a desire to find and know God. If you read it just to be critical I doubt if you would find much to help your faith. But folks who approach the Bible with a real desire to know God usually find a deeper level of faith in God. I know I have. Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find. Search for God like He is a treasure and what you find is that God really found you. God is good.

Rational, intelligent people do not need to BELIEVE in that which does not present sufficient evidence or proof. Faith is an extremely poor substitute for knowledge. Knowledge, as it is based upon that which can be demonstrated or proven, is much more effective when it comes to living in the world and attaining effective solutions to problems. Only the irrational and uneducated still cling to faith to solve their problems.

As for miracles, most people's understanding of them is through anecdotal hearsay, NOT credible evidence. Upon close inspection, miracles are most often found to be either frauds or myths.

In your question, you have stated the answer.

You are putting faith in yourself. Trust in God that all things will work for the best regardless. Pray to God that you'll understand the message and all that you see take place in life. Some things will happen that you will not understand, but hold out and you will see why it happened. I promise.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of what we can not see. (Hebrews 11:1)

Miracles happen whether we believe in them or not, and even when we don't notice.
